Danes birthday was spent in the lush land of Orlando Florida last Saturday. Amongst Former industry executives and friends, we housed bottled CLs, gambled on pool, darts and dice at the Orena Sports Bar. The few days went by quick! We just rotated from a hotel room, to the convention center then a restaurant for the three days we were there. The WSL finals were playing on a laptop the last day of the surf expo, Dane bet 2 grand on Italo and unfortunately lost it all at the end (almost walked away with 200K). It was an entertaining day of surfing that helped pass some down time during the expo and when John John eventually won the title, you could hear the Florence x Marine booth blowing up from across the way. That stung only because we lost money but it was all in good fun. If your ever looking for a fun game to play while your drinking, grab dice and play “3’s” its an inevitable good time. 4 dice, 4 rolls, lowest number wins the pot.

All in all, Orlando was cool, from 90 degrees and humid to polar bear temperature AC, we had fun, met new people and celebrated Dane’s birthday at the very end. Thanks Former for having us out there to chat, hang and make memories.

Also, look up “MINI KISS,” they are the sickest Kiss cover band you’ll ever come across. We saw them play the first day of the Expo and man it was fun, the guitar player mouthed to Dane that he needed a beer, Dane sprung up, ran to the nearest keg and poured the lil fella a crisp cold one. Once deliver, the guitarist mouthed back to Dane, “You’ve saved my life.” It was a magic moment.
